MSA Architecture + Interiors is seeking a Residential Interior Design Associate to join our San Antonio team. This role is designed for a technically-minded designer who thrives in the fixed finish phase of luxury residential projects.
Position Overview The Associate focuses on integrating interior-driven architectural elements within the construction document set, ensuring all interior and exterior finishes are selected and documented for the builder to execute with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Senior Designer Support: Translate design concepts into technically sound interior drawings and specifications
- Builder Selection Management: Source and coordinate all fixed materials (stone, tile, flooring, plumbing, lighting, cabinetry)
- Technical Documentation: Develop detailed interior elevations, cabinetry shops, and material schedules
- Design Integration: Ensure cohesion between the architectural shell and interior details
- Visual Communication: Create polished design boards using Canva
Qualifications
- 3–5 years experience in residential interior design, emphasis on custom luxury homes
- Revit (required) and AutoCAD
- Canva (required) for presentations and material boards
- Adobe Suite (preferred)
- Strong understanding of residential construction and detailing
Compensation $50,000 – $56,000 commensurate with experience
